Good example of a GPO type Bakelite 332 telephone with GPO handset No 164, braided and cleated cord and metal dial.
Working phone with accurate dial and functioning transmitter and receiver. This phone was made by the Plessey Company and probably dates from the early 1950's. The telephone has been converted to work on a modern BT line (as long as exchange still supports loop dialling, most do).
The phone is in good condition for its age, has no cracks or chips and is fitted with a GPO No164 handset and original braided cord. There are some light scratches and wear commensurate with age.
