This beautiful model was designed and made in 1957, in Leicester, England, by the iconic English typewriter manufacturer, Imperial.

Regardless of such old age, this typewriter works well! The comfortable keys are crisp in action and snappy, making the typist feel confident whilst using the typewriter.

This Good Companion 4 is fitted with a new black and red ribbon so you can type as soon as you get it, also comes with the original case.

The overall condition is good but there is some minor cosmetic ware that you can see in the photos.

The retro Imperial typewriter would be ideal for writers, journalists and other specialists. It will also be a unique gift. Due to the style and the aesthetics of the Imperial typewriter, it can be used for display purposes like home decor and events such as exhibitions and weddings. It would appeal to typists of different typing styles and abilities.

One of the Imperial Good Companion models was a trustworthy typing companion to John Lennon, the acclaimed member of the famous Beatles.
