Handsome crank-operated Walther pinwheel calculator, model RMKZ/10, with black japanned body, ivory-tone sliders and long travelling carriage. Maker’s plates read “Carl Walther, Abt. Rechenmaschinen, Zella-Mehlis, Thür.” with serial no. 38722, and there’s a retailer plaque for Pindborg & Petersen, København K—a lovely provenance detail. A superb piece of interwar office tech that doubles as sculptural desk art for an industrial or Bauhaus-leaning interior. Height reads directly from the tape at about 13.5 cm.
Condition is decorative and honest: chips, rubs and scratches to the paint, traces of old oxidisation to the metalwork, and general handling wear from years of service. Not tested for accuracy or completeness and offered as a collector/display piece.
