A handsome C.1940 planter with bold grapevine relief and classical lion-mask ring handles—made for the bar or sideboard and perfect now as a chic planter. The body is silvered brass (white-metal plated over brass) with a softly pebbled ground and moulded foot; the interior retains an old green paint that gives great contrast and makes it ready for a pot drop-in. Reads beautifully in old-money, bistro and maximalist schemes.
Size: Approx. 17.5 (about 7"), rim diameter about 18.5 cm (7¼"). Stands true; rings hang freely.
Condition: good decorative antique condition with honest wear—rubbing and speckled losses to the silvering, small dings and marks, and flaking to the old interior paint as shown. Presents strongly.
