An original vintage German anatomical school wall chart illustrating the human endocrine system, produced by the Deutsches Hygiene-Museum in Dresden, Germany, circa 1960s–1980s.
Featuring a striking arrangement of colourful medical illustrations, the chart depicts the location and structure of the body's hormone-producing glands, including the thyroid, pancreas, adrenal glands and reproductive organs. Detailed anatomical cross-sections and a bold central silhouette make this a particularly interesting example of vintage scientific illustration.
Originally produced as an educational teaching aid for use in schools, the chart retains its original gold-coloured metal rollers, allowing it to be hung directly on a wall. A wonderful decorative piece for an eclectic interior, studio, medical practice or collection of vintage educational materials.
In good vintage condition with minor age-related wear and some marks consistent with its original educational use.
Measures approximately 83 × 113 cm (32.7 × 44.5 inches).
