A sparkling statement light with sweeping chrome arms, candle-style sockets, a frosted glass central stem, and faceted crystal drops that catch and scatter light beautifully. It has that boutique-hotel glamour that’s very on-trend right now—old money meets grandmillennial/Regency revival—ideal for an entryway, powder room, bedroom, dressing space, or over a small table where you want instant atmosphere.
Condition: a couple of the crystal drops are missing, and there’s a piece missing of one of the glass cups that sit on the end of the arms but it isn't very noticeable when installed. Please see photos and feel free to ask if you want specific close-ups. Tested and in good working order.
Provenance: this chandelier and related cabin wall lights are believed to have come from a decommissioned ship captained by Captain James Bailey. Captain Bailey married Janet, the daughter of Hugh Arbuthnott (d. 1881), the Merchant Baker in Main Street, Johnshaven. The chandelier is said to be part of the furnishings of one of the two large houses built by Captain Bailey in Johnshaven.
