superb mid-century wall-mounted weather station with a central barometer dial flanked by two matching gauges (thermometer and hygrometer), all set into a beautifully shaped wooden backboard with warm grain. The main dial is marked West Germany and reads with the classic “Stormy / Change / Fair / Very Dry” scale, and the piece is made even better by the original brass presentation plaque beneath, inscribed as a gift from the Commanding Officer and Officers, Royal Air Force Shawbury, dated 13th December 1969—a really crisp slice of British aviation history that looks perfect in a study, hallway, or library wall.
Measures approx 26.5 x 13 cm (approx 10 7/16" x 5 1/8"). Condition is good vintage with honest age wear: light scuffs/marks to the wood, patina and surface wear to the brass and metal surrounds, and typical signs of use. In good working order.
