A handsome vintage perpetual desk calendar, likely dating from the 1930s or 1940s. The streamlined chrome-plated metal body is mounted on a substantial green onyx base, giving it a strong Art Deco appearance.
The calendar displays the day of the week together with the date through three separate windows. The side-mounted knobs rotate the internal rollers, allowing the display to be adjusted manually. It is in good working order.
The polished metal has light surface wear, small scratches and areas of tarnishing consistent with age. The natural stone base has attractive veining together with several visible hairlines and small edge marks, as shown in the photographs.
