A richly detailed carved lacquerware trinket box with pierced scrollwork sides and a raised relief lid featuring birds among blossoms, finished in that classic cinnabar-red tone with a glossy cobalt-blue interior and a warm metal band at the join. It’s a perfect little accent for the current Chinoiserie / Grandmillennial revival—looks brilliant layered into a maximalist shelf, on a vanity, or on a coffee table stack, and it’s genuinely useful for rings, small jewellery, matches, or tiny keepsakes.

Measures approx 10.5 cm diameter x 6.5 cm high (approx 4 1/8" diameter x 2 9/16" high), as shown on the tape in the photos. Condition is good vintage with light surface wear and a few tiny rubs/nibbles to the carved high points from age and handling, plus minor wear to the metal band—nothing that stops it presenting beautifully.
