A striking original Art Deco mirror dating from around the 1930s, with a distinctive low fan-shaped form and a slender brass frame. The semi-circular design gives it a particularly elegant architectural appearance, ideal for displaying above a fireplace, on a mantelpiece or over a dressing table.
The original mirror plate has a bevelled curved edge and attractive signs of age, including areas of foxing, clouding and surface marks. There are several small chips and nibbles around the upper curved edge, most noticeably towards the upper left, together with general wear consistent with its age. The brass frame has developed a warm, aged patina. The reverse has a black-painted wooden backing and an attached hanging or securing chain.
Measures approximately 73 x 42.5 cm, or 28 3/4 x 16 3/4 inches.
