A striking 1930s Art Deco dressing table veneered in richly figured golden maple, with contrasting darker banding and original geometric fittings. The highly figured timber gives the piece a particularly attractive rippled appearance across the top, drawer fronts and kneehole surround.
The asymmetric design has two wide drawers over the kneehole and a bank of three drawers to the right, each fitted with distinctive black and silver-tone Art Deco handles with small decorative floral details. Above is a large rectangular bevelled mirror, giving the piece a strong architectural silhouette typical of the period.
The dressing table remains very usable and presents beautifully overall. There is general age-related wear including surface marks, scratches and some small areas of veneer loss/chipping, particularly around the top edges, together with some foxing to the mirror plate.
