Victorian hand-wrought copper cauldron with riveted band, forged iron swing handle and a great, timeworn patina. The body shows lovely hammering and old working marks, with seams secured by domed copper rivets and a repaired section around the upper band that tells its working life story.
It’s solid and displays beautifully; there is a small hole on the base so it isn’t watertight. Perfect as a fireside log or kindling bucket, a rustic planter, or for general hearth storage. Lightly cleaned, left with its natural colour and verdigris.
Measures approximately 24cm tall and 39cm in diameter.
