A complete six-volume 1810 edition of Tobias Smollett’s The History of England, from the Revolution in 1688 to the Death of George II, Designed as a Continuation of Hume. Printed and published in London by C. Corrall of Charing Cross, this early 19th-century set continues David Hume’s monumental historical narrative with Smollett’s detailed and sometimes controversial account of late Stuart and Georgian Britain.

Each volume is bound in full leather, measuring approximately 6.5 inches tall (16.5 cm) by 4 inches wide (10 cm), with raised bands and gilt ruling to the spines. The set shows attractive patina with age-related rubbing and scuffing to the leather, along with some wear at the corners and edges, but remains sound and complete with all six volumes present. The text is clean and readable, with only light age toning.
