Characterful small vintage figure of Ganesh cast in a silver-tone metal, seated on a stepped plinth with four legs. The piece has nice crisp detailing for its size, from the layered headdress and coiled trunk to the stacked jewellery and draped robes. It’s a great little object for a desk, bookshelf or altar corner, and works well styled with incense burners, brass pots and dark wood for that collected, bohemian interior feel.
Likely mid 20th century, the figure is cast in a light alloy with an open, unfinished underside. Condition is good and stable with age-related wear: surface rubbing and small knocks to the edges and high points, minor casting irregularities and patina in the crevices, all visible in the photos and part of its charm.
Approx. 7 cm tall (about 2.75"), base roughly 4 cm x 3 cm (about 1.6" x 1.2").
