***I serviced the machine and typed several pages but then the rubber unfortunately began to fall off the roller. So although the pictures show a typed page, the machine is no longer fully functional and sold as décor or for repair. See last photo for the broken roller. I guess that any machine of the same age that hasn't had the rubber on the roller replaced will have this same issue after some use. I've adjusted the price to reflect the damage.***

First produced in the year 1900, the Bar-lock name was derived from the fact that the machine aligned the type by catching the typebars between a semi-circular row of vertical pins in front of the platen. Royal Bar-lock was the name used to market the Columbia Bar-lock in Europe. The machine is identical to the Columbia Bar-Lock 10 that was sold in the United States.
