A striking matched pair of mid-20th-century lacquer wall panels painted with five-clawed dragons amid clouds in rich gilt and vermilion, each modelled as a “hanging scroll” with rounded lower rollers and gilt end caps. The scenes are lively and layered, with stippled gilt scales and ruby-red cabochon eyes that catch the light beautifully. Backs are painted black with simple hanging holes.
