Atmospheric mid-century oil on canvas capturing a glacial-blue lake beneath brooding Icelandic hills. The surface is richly worked with expressive, almost volcanic impasto, giving the sky and water real movement and depth. Signed Bruhn at lower right, with the stretcher inscribed in Danish “Landskab, Island,” pointing to a Danish hand painting an Icelandic scene.

Presented in its simple pine strip frame with hanging wire to the back, it makes a strong, cinematic statement for dark academia and Scandi-meets-wabi-sabi interiors.

Condition is decorative and honest: scattered wear and age to the frame including a chipped corner, minor marks and light scuffs to the paint consistent with age; stable overall and ready to hang.
