A late George IVmahogany pedestal sideboard in the Regency classical taste in the manner of gillows c.1820
Of finely figured mahogany with panelled detailing and carved beaded mouldings. These mouldings are typical of those used by Gillows during this period.
The form of this piece is strongly neoclassical with ornament is kept to a minimum with this piece relying on the beautifully matched veneers for most of its decorative effect.
Very solidly built, the top is a single slab of thick mahogany. Breaks into 3 pieces from transport. In good condition apart from a few instances of minor damage that I have highlighted in the last 3 photos.
240cm wide - will add rest of dims Mon24th
