Large 19th century Indonesian Hindu bronze figure of Dewi Sri, her right hand raised in abhaya mudra stood on a lotus pedestal base.
Made using the ancient lost wax process in which the figure is first crafted from wax, a mould formed around the wax, the wax melted and emptied and then molten bronze poured into the cavity.
The statue is free from damage and has a lovely patina.
43cm / 7" tall and the base is 15cm / 6" wide

Dewi Sri is the goddess of rice and fertility. She is honoured across many parts of Indonesia where rice forms the staple diet. Shrines to her are constructed in wet rice fields and offerings made at important times in the harvest cycle.
