Excellent Dhokra ware Indian brass statue. Made using the traditional "loss wax" technique where the statue is first made in wax, a mould made around the wax and then the wax replaced with molten bronze or brass.
This casting has been made hollow and then filled with some sort of composite material which indicates that it originated from Eastern India.
A very interesting and unusual piece of home décor that would make an excellent addition to any collection of Indian art.
