An excellent example of an antique teak gilt and lacquered Mandalay Buddha dating from the 19th century. Buddha is depicted seated in vajrasana, with his right hand, gesturing to the earth in the bhumisparsa mudraposition.
Decorated with small mirrors above the Buddha's forehead and on his robe. There are some small pieces from thew back of the Buddhas head and much of the gilt has worn off but otherwise the statue is in good condition.
