Beautiful original Arts and Crafts wall barometer in solid oak, complete with its working movement and classic English dial. The geometric case has that unmistakable period feel, with a shaped lower edge, stepped architectural top and strong straight-grain oak that glows with a warm, honeyed patina. The square dial is printed “Rain”, “Changeable”, “Fair”, “Stormy” and “Very Dry”, with a delicate foliate centre and a single black pointer, and is signed “Made in England” along the lower edge. It makes a perfect functional accent in an Edwardian hallway, cottage kitchen, library or study, and sits very comfortably with today’s cottagecore, dark academia and old-money interiors.

The barometer is in working order and responds as expected. Overall condition is good for its age, with light surface wear, fine scratches and small age-related marks to the oak, all consistent with more than a century of use.
