This finely cast devotional figure depicts Tara seated in graceful lalitasana upon a lotus base, one hand in the boon-granting mudra and the other holding a lotus stem rising to her shoulder. Richly detailed with a tiered crown, jeweled necklaces and pierced backplate, the piece has a soft silvered finish that catches the light beautifully—perfect for an altar, meditation nook, or a maximalist shelf vignette. The underside is closed with a traditional plate impressed with a four-petal motif. Height approx. 12.5 cm. Solid and weighty in hand.
Condition is vintage with character: scattered surface wear and toning from age, a shallow hairline to the underside closure plate (stable), and small casting irregularities to tips of the crown/backplate—see photos. Presents wonderfully.
Sacred objects are trending in eclectic “old money” and boho-maximalist interiors; this goddess adds quietly powerful presence to a yoga or meditation space and layers beautifully with books, textured textiles, and aged metals.
