A very well made antique Burmese marionette / puppet from the late 19th century or early 20th. She is wearing traditional costume that has been made with extraordinary detail. The painting is also very well done.
Great addition to any collection of Asian art or else as an interesting and unique item of creepy décor.
I'm not sure if she is possessed but I definitely get an odd feeling around her. In South East Asia puppets that have previously been played are thought to be haunted and treated with a great deal of respect.
Everything moves as it should but the strings probably need adjusted. There is no damage or losses that I can see but some obvious wear and tear .
