A leather bound copy of 'Catalogue of The Loan Collection of Antiquities, Curiosities, and Appliances' edited by George Bullen. A catalogue of the Caxton Celebration in 1877. Edited by librarian George Bullen. The book catalogues the various antiques and curiosities from a exhibition in South Kensington, related William Caxton. The volume contains a comprehensive list of the object and artifacts, and from who they have been borrowed from.

William Caxton was a merchant, diplomat, writer and printer. He is believed to be the first person to introduce the printing press to England, around 1476. He was then the first English retailer of printed books.

The cover and spine show some ware as can be seen in the photos but the pages are in good condition.

This copy is number 120 of only 157 copies printed.
