
A beautiful lacquered tray with fine inlay detail utilising a variety of different woods. Hand painted with birds and flowers and lacquered. In Japanese style but likely made in Paris during the early 20th.C by "Perret et Vibert"
With some marks but generally in good condition.
Alfred Perret creates in 1879 in Paris a store specialized in the making of luxurious bamboo furniture and Japanese objects imported for a very rich Parisian clientele. The house then also specialized in the making of sculpted wood furnishing inspired by the Far-East takes the name of “Maison des Bambous in the early 1890’s.
