A rare and exceptional pair of streamlined bedside cabinet by the renowned designer Georg Kofoed for Georg Kofoed Mobelfabrikant, crafted with precision and elegance in Denmark at the end of the Art Deco period. This distinctive nightstand showcases the epitome of Art Deco design, merging functionality with a sophisticated and worldly aesthetic.

Streamlined pedestal silhouette that is quintessentially Art Deco but with a hint of the Chinoiserie, creating an overall aesthetic that exudes Old Hollywood glamour. The subtle Chinese influence can be seen in the cabinet's unusual hipped top, which gracefully curls upward at the sides to emulate the iconic hip-and-gable roofline seen throughout Chinese architecture.

Expertly finished in luxurious colorblocked rosewood and birch veneers, with the latter stained in a deep coffee brown to add richness and depth. Georg Kofoed, a luminary in Danish furniture design, contributed significantly to the Mid-20th-Century aesthetic.
