Handsome antique oak and brass decanter stand with three matching square cut-glass decanters and faceted stoppers. The bottles are heavily cut to the shoulders with diamond and star motifs, left plain to the lower sections so you can clearly see the level of your whisky, gin or sherry. The stand itself has a warm, honeyed oak base with brass uprights and handle, finished with little shield-shaped mounts to the sides – very English country house and perfectly in tune with today’s old money and home-bar trends.
In good antique condition overall. The glass is bright with no cracks or clouding, just the usual tiny nibble or two to high points and stopper rims you would expect from age and use. Brass and oak show gentle patina, light surface marks and minor wear, all adding to the character. A lovely, usable set for a drinks trolley, cocktail cabinet or gentleman’s study.
