Depicted kneeling in prayer with hands held respectfully before the body, the figure represents a Thepanom (Thep Phanom), a celestial being commonly found in Thai Buddhist temples and royal architecture as a symbol of reverence, protection, and devotion.

The figure displays the characteristic ornate costume and towering headdress associated with traditional Thai temple sculpture. Intricate carved decoration is highlighted by coloured mirrored glass inlays throughout the costume, creating a beautiful play of light across the surface. The expressive facial features and formal kneeling posture give the piece a strong presence, making it an exceptional decorative object as well as a collector's item.

There is visible age-related wear throughout, including losses and rubbing to the original gilded and painted finish, along with some losses to the mirrored glass decoration.
