This is an exceptional piece of Sudanese history in the form of an arm dagger. Dating back to the defeat of the British in 1880, these knives were carried by followers of the famous Mahdi. The combination of cow hide and snake or crocodile skin creates a striking and durable sheath, while the handle is wrapped in the same material for a seamless finish. Measuring 24cm in length, this arm dagger is not only a rare artifact, but a work of art as well. Comes complete with a clear acrylic stand for display purposes.
