A beautiful watercolor by renowned Scottish artist, Robert Burns. In stunning wood and gesso frame. The frame has a couple of small pieces missing, the painting itself is generally good condition but there is some minor flaking on the top right that i've highlighted in the photographs. It may have faded slightly since originally painted but it is hard to tell as the washed out appearance is in keeping with Burn's style and similar to other winery landscapes by the artist.
Robert Burns, HRSA, RSW (1869–1941) was a Scottish painter, limner and designer. He was an early exponent of the Art Nouveau style in Scotland and an outstanding decorative artist.
