A marvelous mid 19th century Norwegian painted cabinet with lots of drawers and compartments.
The text records two separate weddings, one in 1853 and another in 1892, possibly indicating that the cabinet was passed down the generations and may have been repainted in 1892.
The main iron lock still works well and comes with an original key. The internal lock is missing and there is no key for the drawer locks but they do open. A couple of pieces of the exterior decoration have been lost but the cabinet still looks great.
77cm wide x 37cm deep x 85cm tall.
