A handsome antique wall-mounted barometer and thermometer set in a richly toned oak case, featuring a classic stepped silhouette with decorative beaded edging. This traditional English weather station combines both form and function, with a circular aneroid barometer dial below and a vertical thermometer above.

The barometer dial is clearly marked with the usual weather indicators—“Stormy,” “Rain,” “Change,” “Fair,” and “Very Dry”—in decorative script, giving it that unmistakable period character. Above, the thermometer is set into a shaped panel, marked in Fahrenheit and stamped “Made in England,” reinforcing its early 20th-century origins.

Standing approximately 53 cm tall (20.9 inches), it has a strong vertical presence, ideal for hallways, studies, or layered into a dark wood interior. The oak case has a warm, aged patina with visible grain and minor wear consistent with age.

Condition is good antique overall, however there is a crack to the glass covering the barometer dial that isn't very noticeable. Both thermometer and barometer are in good working order.

This fits perfectly within dark academia, traditional English, and heritage interiors—spaces that favour authenticity, craftsmanship, and timeworn detail.
