Characterful little vintage wooden mantel clock with a soft, timeworn look and a small mechanical movement that is no longer working, so it’s now best enjoyed as a decorative object. The arched case is hand carved with a textured pattern on the front and sides, finished in a dark, mellowed stain that sits beautifully with old books, brass and pottery. The small cream dial has Arabic numerals and simple black hands behind a brass bezel, all with plenty of age and patina. The back shows the original movement and winding key, with wear, spotting and oxidation to the metal plate and fittings, adding to the overall wabi-sabi feel.

This is perfect as a styling piece on a shelf, desk or bedside, especially in cottagecore, dark academia and old-money inspired interiors where a slightly austere, scholarly look works well. Condition is well-worn but stable: surface marks, scratches and small knocks to the wood, patina and spotting to the dial and brass, and the movement is not functioning and sold as a decorative prop only.
