A characterful hand-worked copper bowl with crisp geometric borders, rows of boteh/paisley sprigs to the well, and a central cartouche of calligraphic script. The interior shows traces of old tinning, the surface a rich, time-worn reddish brown with green oxidation in places.
Honest wear, small knocks and softening to the rim from long use; presents beautifully with deep patina.
Measures approx 7" diameter and just under 2" high (about 18 x 4.7 cm).
A lovely piece of Islamic/Middle Eastern metalwork for a coffee table, entry console or layered “old money”/maximalist styling.
