A richly detailed antique Middle Eastern brass box, beautifully inlaid with silver and copper and featuring intricate arabesque designs and a central panel of Arabic script to the lid. The sides are decorated with finely worked geometric and floral motifs within oval and shield-shaped cartouches, and the box retains its original clasp. The interior shows an untouched patina, while the base has remnants of an old inscription, now softly worn. A solid and striking piece with beautiful craftsmanship and clear age.
