A massive copper lantern dating from the early 20th century and made by the English company Meteorite. This type of lantern would be used to warn other ships that the ship is "not under command" of a captain and therefore unable to maneuver.
In good condition with a lovely natural patina, the inner red glass is a little cracked but you cant tell unless you take it out.
The lantern does not include a paraffin burner.
