A wonderfully unusual early 20th-century metamorphic chair that converts into a circular occasional table. Made from solid oak with barley twist legs and decorative Gothic-style carving. The back panel of the chair folds flat to create a round tabletop, with the seat acting as a lower tier. A functional curiosity and talking point, equally suited to hallways, libraries, or reading corners.
Condition: Solid and well-made with an attractive aged patina. General signs of age and use, surface wear consistent with age. No major issues. Transforms easily between chair and table forms.
Dimensions:
Height as chair: approx. 38 in (96 cm)
Height as table: approx. 30 in (76 cm)
Diameter of tabletop: approx. 28 in (71 cm)
