Just Andersen (1884–1943) was a Danish designer and sculptor who significantly influenced 20th-century Danish design. Born in Greenland, he later moved to Denmark, where he trained as a silversmith at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. In 1918, he established his own workshop, Just Andersen A/S, producing decorative art objects and jewelry. Andersen's style was heavily influenced by the Art Deco movement, and he was known for experimenting with materials like bronze, brass, and his own invention, Disko metal—a lead-based alloy named after Greenland's Disko Bay. His work, characterized by simple, elegant forms and high-quality materials, was exhibited internationally and is now highly sought after by collectors.
