Beautiful Japanese Bronze, 4 faced buddha head. This is solid bronze and would have been made using the "loss wax" technique where the statue is first made in wax, a mould made using the wax statue and then bronze poured into the mould replacing the wax. There are a lot of recent copies of these heads but this one is particularly old. Early 20th century or older. Would make an excellent addition to any collection of Asian art.
