A characterful antique Indian dish made from a repurposed rigid anklet (pajeb) in nickel silver (a copper–nickel–zinc alloy; not sterling). The ring retains its jewellery-style beaded and rope-twist bands; a separate brass base plate was later fitted, creating a small bowl perfect for trinkets, incense, or an altar.
Lovely age-darkened patina throughout. Displays beautifully on a desk, console, or layered tablescape.
Diameter approx. 12 cm (4.7")
Height approx. 4 cm (1.6")
Condition:
Good antique condition with age-related marks, small dents, and tarnish; light wear to the silvered finish. The brass base plate shows old scratches and felt pads.
