A charming early 20th-century figural inkwell, the spherical lidded well supported by three elegant greyhounds on a stepped circular base. Cast in metal with a warm bronzed finish, the hinged globe lifts to reveal the original white porcelain liner—clean and usable—making this both a display piece and a functional desk accessory. The scale is perfect for a gentleman’s study vignette, library shelf or “old money” desktop. Height on the tape is about 4.5" (11.5 cm); base diameter approx. 4.25" (10.8 cm).

Condition is good and decorative with honest age. The bronzed surface has rubbing, tiny dings and spots, a visible seam line to the globe, a small bruise to the base rim, and general patina consistent with use; hinge sound and liner intact—see photos. Presents beautifully.
