A handsome countertop butter churn with a square clear-glass jar, ribbed screw-top lid and a cast-iron double-gear crank that drives the original perforated wooden paddle. The mechanism turns smoothly and has a lovely, age-darkened patina. The glass is mould-embossed on the base with a 1925 date, and the side shows faint Canadian capacity marks, placing it firmly in the inter-war years.
Condition is good and honest: clear jar with light scuffs and expected bubbles from manufacture, no rim chips or cracks observed; ironwork with stable oxidation; paddle showing old staining from use. Handle turns and spins paddle. An evocative, functional bit of kitchen history—perfect for a farmhouse kitchen shelf, shop display or prop styling.
