A beautifully expressive antique German Pierrot musician figure / car mascot, finely cast in bronze with delicately carved bone face and hands. Depicting a seated harlequin playing a lute, the piece captures the soft, wistful character associated with commedia dell’arte figures, giving it a quietly romantic, theatrical presence.

The contrast between the warm, aged bronze and the pale bone detailing is particularly striking, highlighting the face and hands with a lifelike softness. The costume is richly modelled, with a flowing robe and ruffled collar, showing excellent depth and movement in the casting.

Mounted on its original shaped wooden plinth, the figure is secured with a central fixing, typical of early 20th century decorative bronzes. The bronze surface has developed a natural patina over time, with areas of wear that enhance its authenticity and visual appeal.

Condition is good for age, with expected surface wear and patina to the bronze. The bone face and hands are intact and well preserved, with minor age-related marks. The wooden base shows light wear consistent with age.
