A striking and unusual antique German tobacco pipe, measuring approximately 29cm in length. Crafted from richly patinated bruyère wood (briar), the pipe likely dates to the late 19th or early 20th century and may have been used ceremonially or for show, as was common with elaborate hunting or parade pipes of the era. Looks as though its missing a lid for the bowl but otherwise complete.
