A wonderful, quite unusual spelter figurine titled "Le Telephone" of a woman triumphantly raising an emblem in one hand and with an early telephone in the other and by her side. Lovely rustic appearance and aged patina. The arm has broken off and been repaired but has been strongly reattached and doesn't really detract from the overall look of the statue.
Cast from spelter and on a wooden base. Possibly by Auguste Moreau (1834 – 1917), a French sculptor born in Dijon.
