This is an exceptional example of an Edison Standard Phonograph Model B, produced by the Thomas A. Edison Phonograph Company in the early 1900s. Housed in a beautifully crafted oak case with its original domed cover and handle, this early cylinder player represents one of the most iconic pieces of sound recording history. The mechanism retains its distinctive black enamel finish with the gold “Thomas A. Edison” signature, and the oak casing shows a rich patina developed over more than a century. The winding crank, reproducer arm, and other mechanical components are present and in good visual condition, with wear consistent with age and use.

A museum-worthy piece of early recording technology, this phonograph embodies the spirit of innovation that transformed how the world experienced music. Perfect as a centrepiece for an antique music collection, library, or early industrial display, it captures both the craftsmanship and the curiosity of its era.

Winds and spins but does not come with a horn.
