A superb example of early 20th-century audio innovation, this Decca “Junior” portable gramophone is as charming as it is functional. Manufactured in London and marked clearly on the internal sound horn, this piece hails from the golden age of shellac records and mechanical sound reproduction.

Housed in a textured black case with a hinged lid that doubles as the sound resonator, this model is equipped with a bright nickel tonearm and plays 78rpm records using a wind-up mechanism. The crank handle operates smoothly, and the turntable spins consistently. Sound output is clear for its age, giving an authentic, nostalgic audio experience. A rare and collectible piece in fully working order.

Measurements:
Approximately 11" wide x 8.25" deep x 9" high (28 cm x 21 cm x 23 cm when closed)

Condition is good overall, with age-appropriate wear to the case exterior and a few light scuffs to the interior horn. The mechanics and sound are in working order.

A standout decorative and functional piece for any collector of vintage technology or early 20th-century design. I've replaced the needle and will include a couple of gramophone records (shellac 78's)
