An antique console table with a carved Rococo front and cabriole legs, later modified with a plain timber apron beneath. The top appears original and retains layers of old cream paint with natural wear. The overall effect is decorative and romantic, though best viewed from the front or placed against a wall.
The carved legs feature acanthus scrolls and floral motifs in the Louis XV style, while the half-moon top makes it well suited to use in a hallway, under a mirror, or as a pared-back dressing table.
Measurements:
Height: 81.5 cm (32 inches)
Width: 120 cm (47.2 inches)
Depth: 65 cm (25.6 inches)
Condition:
The apron has been rebuilt in plain timber and left unfinished beneath the top. Visible wear to the paint and surface, especially on the feet and edges. Structurally solid.
