The aged surface, areas of exposed timber and softened gilding give it a very characterful appearance.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eLikely dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. The figure is carved in several sections, with a separate lotus-form base.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThere is age-related wear throughout, including losses to the fingers of the raised hand, small chips and losses around the lotus base, rubbing to the gilding and painted decoration, and other marks consistent with considerable age.
